About the Opportunity
The General Manager, Digital and Technology is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the integrated policies, programs and objectives for the organisation’s digital strategy and innovation programs, whilst concurrently ensuring the business as usual activities support accessibility of technology in a dispersed geographic network of offices. The position also has responsibility for the cyber resilience of the organisation, managing the cyber maturity and risk management program.
The position drives digital innovation across the organisation and serves as a change agent, driving a digital mindset through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and highlighting digital best practices amongst colleagues to help establish a robust digital ecosystem.
The key tasks and responsibilities will include but is not limited to
- Lead the strategic and operational activities of the IT and Digital team
- Oversee, plan and report on all key Information and Communication Technology (ICT) functions, including the implementation of new systems and software, network and systems management, vendor management, applications, service desk, communications, information management, data analytics and cyber security
- Manage and lead a cohesive IT and Digital team to ensure high quality, timely and effective practices, processes and services in accordance with industry best practice standards
- Develop and maintain a clear and compelling digital strategy for the organisation’s future
- Ensure that digital initiatives are fully integrated with the strategic planning process, including leadership commitment and resource allocation
- Own, lead and monitor the digital-innovation project portfolio
- Identify new tools (AI, digital, CRM) that can support and enhance Flourish Australia’s activities and services
- Lead the analytics/business intelligence function by creating and producing analysis and reports regarding trends, preferences and other information on the organisation’s activities
- Measure Return on Investment (ROI) for digital projects, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure that organisation is investing in the appropriate tools and resources
- Leverage digital tools, data and technology to deliver on the objectives of the Strategic Plan and to best serve people accessing supports and staff
- Develop and manage the ICT budget and resources
- Ensure appropriate ICT Governance and the development and maintenance of appropriate policies, procedures and accreditations

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have acquired a high level of skill, expertise, and personal attributes required to effectively perform the inherent requirements of this position description and to achieve the performance agreement agreed with the CFO. As the General Manager, Digital and Technology, you will:
- Have strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage relationships at all levels of the organisation, including with staff at remote locations.
- Think laterally and contribute to a significant degree at high-level meetings
- Obtain working knowledge of all Flourish Australia programs
- Possess strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- Be people focused, work in partnership, value diversity and be respectful at all times
- Ensure activities in their area of responsibility are user driven, and assist with the achievement of the organisation’s Strategic Plan and Digital Transformation Strategy

Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Relevant three year degree in Business, or IT or related field.
- Extensive experience in the leadership of successful digital transformation projects, and/or managing an ICT function in a geographically dispersed medium to large organisation.
- Experience in managing and leading a high performing team focused on good customer service.
- Proven communication skills for influencing and collaborating with others.
- Experience leading the development, implementation, and ongoing management of organisation-wide digital technology plans and programs, including information architecture, data transparency, and digital technologies.
- Experience designing and/or implementing emerging new digital policies, products, projects and technologies.
- Experience providing expert advice and formal presentations to Boards, senior management and executives in the planning, prioritisation, development and execution of digital transformation programs.
- Ability to set personal workload priorities, observe time constraints, and plan and coordinate adherence to deadlines and budgets.
Desirable:
- A lived experience of a mental health issue or as a family member or carer.
- Formal tertiary qualifications in digital approaches, or data analytics/business intelligence.
