About the Opportunity
The Data Officer is responsible for developing, generating, reviewing and maintaining a variety of internal and external reports, ensuring their accuracy and reliability, through data cleansing, fact-checking, and editing. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to analyze data for strategic decisions and supporting evaluations and research activities to meet the needs of stakeholders.
Under the direction of the General Manager, Quality and Practice, and working closely with the Data Engineer, the Data Officer provides advice to internal stakeholders, enhancing their understanding of data and its implications for service delivery, funding and strategic initiatives. The position plays a crucial role in supporting the operational and strategic needs of the organisation through the identification, visualisation and communication of data findings in order to ensure that both the operations teams and Senior Leadership Team are well-informed and equipped to make data-driven decisions.

Selection Criteria
Essential:
- A minimum three (3) years’ experience with a relevant tertiary qualification in Statistics, Mathematics, Health Information Systems or equivalent.
- Extensive Experience collating and analysing quantitative and qualitative data using Qualtrics, SPSS, R, Power BI, D365 and MS Office or similar software
- Experience in data visualisation to support insights and action.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to interpret and communicate complex information to a broad audience
- Demonstrated understanding relevant data privacy regulations and ensuring compliance
Desirable:
- A carer role or having a lived experience of a personal mental health issue
- A current Driver’s license
- Relevant experience in health information management and managing databases
