Regional Manager

Location: Northern & Western Sydney, Blue Mountains and Far West

Flourish Australia is looking for an experienced Regional Manager to oversee the development and growth of services across Northern Sydney, Western Sydney, the Nepean Blue Mountains and Far Western NSW.

The position available is:

  • Full-time
  • Working Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility to be based at an appropriate Flourish Australia site, with regular travel required across Northern Sydney, Western Sydney, the Nepean Blue Mountains and Far Western NSW
  • Attractive remuneration package of $171K inclusive of 12% superannuation & motor vehicle allowance

About the Opportunity

The Regional Manager plays a key leadership role in driving service excellence, leading high-performing teams, strengthening partnerships and delivering meaningful outcomes for people with a lived experience of mental health challenges. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to oversee a portfolio of services, influence strategic direction, champion innovation, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of services that make a real difference in the community.

Reporting to the General Manager, Services, the Regional Manager oversees the development and growth of high-quality, recovery-oriented services that best supports people to achieve their hopes and dreams. In this role, you will:

  • Lead and support a team of Managers to achieve service excellence.
  • Drive operational performance, workforce capability and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, resources and service outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop a good understanding of Flourish Australia’s philosophy, recovery orientated services/culture, Disability Standards, National Standards for Mental Health Services, Quality Assurance principles, Grievance policy, Work Health & Safety, and Privacy policy and relevant legislation.
  • Lead strategic projects and contribute to organisational priorities and future service development.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  1. A relevant tertiary qualification in the behavioural sciences or a health-related discipline. 
  2. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a relevant senior management role.
  3. Well developed communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills. 
  4. Demonstrated engagement, collaboration and negotiation skills, with the capability to build and maintain positive working relationships across multiple sectors with a range of organisations. 
  5. Demonstrated experience fostering and sustaining partnerships as well as ability to influence stakeholders at all organisational levels.  
  6. Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing community-based services across multiple locations with varying program requirements
  7. Demonstrate understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of severe and persistent mental health issues and how providing a recovery-oriented service is of benefit to people. 
  8. Expert knowledge of relevant legislative and funding contract requirements.
  9. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and ability to fully utilise the client information management system. 
  10. Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
